Rituals and ceremonies play a vital role in our community, marking significant moments in our lives with meaning and purpose. From joyous weddings and heartfelt baptisms to solemn memorial services, these traditions provide us with opportunities to celebrate love, honor commitments, and remember those we have lost.
Each ceremony is thoughtfully designed to reflect the values and beliefs of our community, fostering connections among individuals and families. We invite you to explore the various ceremonies we offer; each tailored to create lasting memories and deepen our shared experiences of faith and fellowship. Whether you are planning a special event or seeking to participate in a meaningful ceremony, we are here to support you every step of the way.
Baptism is one of the two sacraments. “Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom of God”. Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.
The doors of Christ Church are open to anyone who wants to find, or to be found, by God. Becoming a member of the church involves a commitment from you to Christ and to the church, as well as a commitment from the members of Christ Church to you. To assist you in exploring that commitment, there is a preparation process that begins with a conversation with our clergy.

Weddings
Marriage is a Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, it is a gift of God and a means of God's grace, in which the couple become one flesh. It is God's purpose that they give themselves to each other in love, they shall grow together and be united in that love, as Christ is united with his Church.

Memorial Garden
As part of the ritual of life, funerals are difficult times. Christ Church provides funeral services for both members and non-members and will always be done according to the Book of Common Prayer. Funerals may be quiet private affairs or quite public events celebrating the life of a loved one.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: if your loved one is ill or near to their final moments, do not hesitate to call the church and make use of the Pastoral Emergency.
Christ Church also offers internment in its Memorial Garden where ashes may be sprinkled in the Garden and a Memorial Plaque affixed to the walls. Parishioners may reserve individual plots for future use.
NOTE: One may wish to pre-plan their funeral. We do recommend this so that your desires can be expressed to your survivors.
